Jonathan Terry
Jon was born and raised in Indianapolis and attended North Central High School, graduating in 1993. He is a graduate of Indiana University, obtaining a BA in History (’97). Upon graduating from IU Jon traveled around the country, taught English as a Second Language and eventually landed a position teaching English in Hungary. Upon returning to Indiana and meeting his future wife, he moved to Bloomington and started Custom Made, an enterprise specializing in hand painting and light carpentry. The hobbyist-woodworker then moved to Wisconsin to study Cabinetmaking and Architectural Millwork at Milwaukee Technical College under the tutelage of German cabinetmaker Berthold Gontek. He returned to his hometown in 2004 to co-found Umlaut Limited.
Jon lives in Broad Ripple restoring their house with his wife, Ali and their hound dog, Otis.
